Project Coordinator

Location: Adjumani District

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the monitoring, evaluation and impact assessment of livelihoods recovery activities, and analyze project output results and lessons learnt and identify best practices for documentation and information sharing;
  • Prepare diverse reports as a tool to guide the work of the project activities and to ensure compliance of project activities with overall strategies;
  • Monitor the project progress and ensure that stipulated reports are submitted on time;
  • Will work with project officer in providing strategic and operational leadership to develop and implement successful programs;
  • Assist field staff in planning and conducting village level awareness meetings and mobilizing the targeted individuals and groups to identify, assess and analyze viable self-help initiatives;
  • Coordinate and Contribute to the Youth Empowerment trainings and capacity development activities, and work constructively with implementing partners and relevant local governments;
  • Will work in collaboration with government officials, local leaders, institutions and agencies in operating in the district and outside the district in relation to planning and implementation of the project;
  • Identify areas of weakness in the technical and management capacities of the stakeholders to implement YEP component of the programme;
  • Ensure all program activities occur in collaboration with local, district and provincial authorities where appropriate;
  • Conduct other duties related to the implementation of the Programme as required;
  • Should be able to work in a matrix environment and keep track of multiple priorities and adhere to deadlines, promote high performance among project staff and provide vision and directions.

Recruitment Qualifications

University graduate with minimum bachelors’ degree in development studies, social sciences, post graduate training in a related field will be of added advantage

Experience

  • Minimum of consecutive Three (3) years’ experience in progressive experience in planning and implementation of Youth Empowerment programs with the main target being youths and women.
  • Possesses work experience in meeting and workshop facilitation, report writing, and provision of technical advice on life stills.
  • Possess good planning, coordination, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly in Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Previous employment in non-Governmental organizations (NGO) preferably in Adjumani district.
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural environment with sensitivity and respect to diversity.
  • Experience in working with minimum supervision.
